GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE

This page was not previously updated since 2003. Since then, I've been leading a Denver Climate study group since fall of 2006 and refer you to more up to date links at http://www.denverclimatestudygroup.com/. There I will describe a yahoo groups that is closed, but you can give me some of your background and ask me to invite you or "push" you on if you don't have success getting into the group. It's best to have a yahoo userid which you can link to your other preferred email address to see the archive of emails (over 300 since early October 2009) - ON a variety of topics. We strive to be respectful, professional and polite. 11/18/2009. Contact me if you wish at the above email address.

Thanks to Karen Granger for refreshing me of this page and helping me get it back up to date - some of which, below, I may not agree to anymore, and thus may change, and/or have future comments. PEB 11/18/2009

Become informed about the overall climate picture and global warming issues/debate:

* Get a broader view of global climate change
* Become aware of our earth history of global climate change - natural cycles and conditions,
* Review Earth History of climate change on the geologic long-term scale and shorter-term scale (still long my human standards). Understand and review the orbital parameters and other natural controls on climate change (solar variations as controlled by orbital factors; solar variability through time),
* Understand the shorter term issues of climate change: real or exaggerated?
* A complex issue and a debate that continues: YOU DECIDE - SHOULD WE:

            • Adapt

            • Mitigate

            • Adapt and Mitigate

            • Do Nothing
