| Wedding Toast to Nicole and Steve Cole - May
12, 2001: Thanks to all that came to witness and participate in this joyous day. I've not lost a daughter - but ' gained a son. Thanks to those that came from afar - Oregon - her mom, step dad and brother and sister; from Canada (bridesmaid and her mother); from Massachusetts - my family - and others from wherever (Arizona and Texas mostly). Thanks too to Pam for throwing the shower in April and to Pat (and Diane) for the open house last weekend. Staying at the Lovett Inn Friday and Saturday was a wonderful opportunity for both families and the wedding party to get to know each other - a great idea. Thanks to all of you (and not only those here at the wedding - but all) for the individual rolls you've played in shaping these two beautiful people to be the wonderful persons they are for each other. Thanks too to the family and extended family support you've shown through all the years - as a single person, I DO appreciate it. So, here we are - with Nicole and Steve Cole - to what I see as a perfect couple for each other - I'm happy for both of you - without reservation! I propose a toast to offer you warmest wishes for continued growth, friendship, happiness, love and fulfillment! |
